January 22, 2003 - Slice of Life   What I've been up to in the past 24 hours: * made sweeeeeet sweet love to my husband. I dunno, it's like everything down there got moved a quarter inch to the left or something - or maybe it was just being deprived for six weeks - but at any rate, no complaints in that department * smiled into my baby's perfect flower face and listening to the gentle tones of her husky little voice and stroking her soft fine hair and holding on to her tiny fingers * drove around aimlessly with the tape deck blasting while eating chocolate frosting right out of the can with my free hand * watched a woodpecker pick at the suet feeder out on the deck * started a big hot pot of black bean soup against the cold outside What I have to look forward to: * more smiles and more sweet sweet love, more long evenings in front of the fire * Valetine's Day train trip to Washington to visit Ben and Shana * long-overdue trip to Jerk Town, Ruby and Baby in tow * performing the Mozart Requiem in the spring (!!!!!!) * and ... last but not least ... spending more time with this my beloved journal. 'til then, know that all is well.
